There is a group of senior elementary and high school students from schools across Waterloo Region that meet every week at the Canadian Mental Health Association. Team members are trained to be aware of sensitive youth issues and address topics as they relate to mental health and bullying. With the support of the WAYVE facilitators this team researches, creates and delivers educational presentations to peers.
These unique presentations that are given to high school and senior elementary students in the Region target many issues that youth face in today’s society. Over the past 15 years, the Regional Team has delivered their message to over 45,000 students. This team has won numerous awards in the community for their dedication and hard work on tackling youth issues.
