There is a team of students that operates within many of the local schools and is supported by Child and Youth Workers, Guidance counselors and other school staff. The goal of this team is to create and conduct activities that raise awareness and educate their peers on a variety of youth issues. Activities can include: Poster campaigns, t-shirt design contests, special awareness days, presentations, announcements and much more.
But best of all the WAYVE program is based on youth ideas. If you have a great idea or activity to educate your peers on a youth issue—this is the place to do it. This is a youth program, for youth, by youth. Click here for information on how to get involved.
